Rose Marie Breinholt, 96, passed away peacefully at home. She was born the only child to Mabel Tibbitts Earl and Ernest Eugene Earl on August 13, 1927, in Logan, Utah. Rose Marie lived her "growing up" years in the same house in the Logan 1st Ward with the Earl and Needham cousins and friends that would last a lifetime. She graduated from Logan High and continued on to graduate from Utah State University with a degree in social work. While at Utah State, she met the love of her life James Elmo Breinholt. The two of them were married on May 26, 1949. They were later sealed in the Manti Utah temple.

Being a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother was the true joy of her life. James and Rose Marie created a home of faith in Jesus Christ, patriotism, and wholesome fun. Rose Marie was an accomplished water skier, fisherman, hiker and pheasant spotter. She would later return to college to become a talented English teacher.

Later in her life, she became a docent at the Utah State Capitol and the Governor's Mansion. She was also involved with the Utah Symphony, Utah Preservation and Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. Throughout her years, she was also president and teacher in many auxiliaries in the church. She and her husband were called to be temple workers. After his death she served for additional 10 years and was released due to the Salt Lake Temple's renovation.

Ministering to family and friends came naturally and took most of her time in her later years. She was the mother of two children, James Craig (Debbie) and Patti Ann (John) Rattliff, 11 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and grandchild John Tyler Ratliff.

Her family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Humanitarian Fund.

A visitation will be held on Monday, September 4, 2023, from 6:00-7:30 PM at Larkin Mortuary (260 East South Temple, Salt Lake City, UT 84111) and on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, from 10:00-10:45 AM at Larkin Mortuary with the service to follow at 11:00 AM.

Interment will be held at Logan City Cemetery (1000 N 1200 E Logan, UT 84321) at 2:30 PM.
