Ruth Waldram Holland Bledsoe

Ruth Waldram Holland Bledsoe 1913 ~ 2009 Ruth Bledsoe peacefully passed away September 2, 2009.She was the third child born to Byron and Violet Rae Waldram on July 5, 1913, in Sugar City, Idaho. Ruth graduated from BYU in 1935 with degrees in Homemaking and English. She returned to Sugar City, her Alma Mater to teach high school English, where she met and married Yale Bertie Holland on June 14, 1937 in the Salt Lake Temple. Ruth and Yale raised five children in various areas of Idaho where Yale was an agronomist for Amalgamated Sugar Company. Her passions were sewing, refinishing antiques, book clubs, building and decorating several beautiful homes in Idaho and Utah. Ruth also enjoyed working closely with 4-H groups as a county agent and state fair judge. As a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served in many leadership capacities in Relief Society. After 55 years of marriage, Yale passed away in 1992. Ruth married her second husband, Guy Bledsoe, June 7, 1995. She and Guy enjoyed many wonderful years together. She is survived by husband Guy, five children, Jack W. Holland, Susan Taylor Holland, Kinne Marie (James) Kerschbaum, Steven Yale Holland and Margere Ruth (Clifford) Weiss; 17 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and brother, Hal, two sisters, Faye and Joan. Ruth is preceded in death by first husband, Yale, brother, Lee; four sisters, Vanese, Marie, Gwen and LuDeen. Funeral Services will be held Saturday Sept. 5, 2009, 11:00 a.m. at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley, 1007 W. So. Jordan Pkwy (10600 So.) where friends and family may call on Friday, Sept. 4th from 6-8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Ogden City Cemetery.
