Ruth Dio Obituary

Ruth Dio
1925 ~ 2014
Ruth passed away peacefully January 23, 2014. She was born in Deerfield, Kansas on June 17, 1925. She grew up in Colorado where she met her husband, Dick-the love of her life for 68 years. They had three children: Donna, Denny and Susan.
The family time was always spent camping, fishing and riding the horses. Mom loved to sew and quilt---and those trips to Wendover! She was a member of the Cottonwood Presbyterian Church. She was a fun-loving person with a lot of friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan (John); and brother-in-law, Lou; her grandchildren; and two precious great-grandchildren. Also, we cannot forget her cat, Jerry. Ruth was preceded in death by Dick, Donna and Denny.
Special thanks to Golden Living Taylorsville and Intermountain Hospice for all their love and care.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 28, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at the Cottonwood Presbyterian Church, 1500 E. Vine St. (6100 S.), Murray. A viewing will be held Monday, January 27, 2014, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 S. State Street. Interment: Murray City Cemetery. Susan, you probably don't remember me but I sang for the service of your sister - Donna. Ruth and Dick were such wonderful people and will be missed tremendously by you and your family and by me. I will forever remember them in my heart and I pray you will keep your precious memories of them with you, too! God will send his angels to watch over you and your family until we all meet in heaven. Take care!
