1964 ~ 2014
Shelly Kaye Cook Tidwell, 49, our loving wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away at her home in West Valley City, Utah on February 14, 2014 after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born on August 19, 1964 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Owen Kay and Judith Ann Goff Cook. Shelly married her high school sweetheart Lane Allen Tidwell on June 5, 1980 in South Jordan, Utah.
She enjoyed the outdoors almost as much as shopping. Her greatest joy was giving love to others. She will be greatly missed and always remembered.
Survived by her parents, Kay and Judy Cook; husband, Lane; children, Jamie (Kage) Gordon, Ashton Tidwell, Rachel (Chris) Liddiard and Justin Tidwell; grandchildren, Logan, Saben, Niven, Zerin and Ravyn; grandmother, Shirley Goff; brothers, Kevin (Sandy) Cook, Jeff (Tonya) Cook and Russell (Jessica) Cook; in-laws, Allen and Carol Tidwell.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at Goff Mortuary, 8090 South State Street, Midvale, Utah. A viewing will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday evening and one hour prior to the services. Interment, Crescent Cemetery.

I'm so very sorry about Shelly. I can't imagine loosing my husband. You have been together so long. My heart breaks for you and your family. My husband and I lost our two year old daughter 10 years ago. Keep busy and talk about Shelly as much as you can. That helped us. Make new traditions to remember her for holidays etc.
