Dear Etheridge family,
I am so very sorry for your loss. I know Steven is in good hands now, and he will always be close by. I lost my dad a few months ago, so I know nothing can take away that pain, but simply just time. Heavenly Father needed him home.. just hang in there!

Dear, coach. I dont know if you remember me, but I will never forget you. Its Charlie. Charlie Egan. My brother Tommy and I used to play baseball with Stephen. He was always my best friend on the team,. he helped me when I was learning second, and you could never ask for a better teamate, a better friend, a better person. I think I speak for the Egan's when we say how saddened we are by this. I for one, will never forget Stephen, and our hearts go out to all of you

Dear Ethridge family - We've never met, but we feel close to you. About 4 1/2 years ago, we lost our 17-year-old son Blake, so we understand what you are experiencing. It is difficult right now, but through the Atonement of Jesus Christ, peace and healing will come. If you need to talk to someone who understands, please contact us.

Mike and JoAnn, I don't know if you remember me, but I lived nearby when you lived in Old Mill. I remember your cute son in Primary; his cute smile, his kind personality, his exuberance. I am so sorry for your loss! We lost our oldest son while we were living in the Old Mill area (he was 18), so I know something of what you are going through. During that time we came to realize that our son was still with us in a very real sense, and that he was doing everything he could to help us through. Steven will find very personal ways to get through and let you know that he too is near, and that he is all right. My heart goes out to you all.

Mike and JoAnn,
Jerelyn and I were so sorry to hear of your loss. I was thinking about when all the kids were little and would come play "kick the can" in the neighborhood. Steven was the fastest, and no one could ever catch him. Of all the baseball, football and basketball teams Michael and Steven played on together. How much fun you and I had coaching the boys. I always admired Steven. He would do whatever I asked him to do with enthusiasm. He was a true leader, and such a joy to be around.
You are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. May you find comfort knowing that your separation will be temporary and you'll be with Steven again.
We love you!

Ethridge Family,
When my mom called and told me of your loss, I found myself heartbroken. I can't imagine a more difficult experience to undertake in this life than losing a loved one; especially a child. I know Heavenly Father is mindful of you and your family at this time. I pray that the Atonement will bring you the confort and understanding your family will need to bring peace to your hearts at this time. May the Lord bless your family with all you need. My wife and I send our love and condolences

Mike and JoAnn: Thoughts and prayers are with you and your entire family. Steven with the infectious smile, blond hair shining bright. The laughs we all shared, the funny times the glitter in his eyes when he laughed. Those are the things that will never leave our hearts. We are blessed to have had the best times with Steven doing what he loved to do, play baseball ! Our hearts are with you, much love always. Love Lori, Damara, Keenyn, Lewis Walker.

Mike and JoAnn,
I am so sorry to hear about Steven, I will always remember Steven at our House with Spencer as Kids playing downstairs or in the yard.
I was always laughing at Steven because he would say the funniest things to me.
Theresa reminded me today when we were talking about Steven that she had him and all the kids in the ward for Cub Scouts and she feels horrible because Steven was always happy to be there with a smile on his face.
I always enjoyed being around him and feel so sad that I won't be able to say Goodbye to him. I am in Arizona, I had to take Spencer to College this week and won't be able to make the services.
I told Spencer about Stevens Passing and he said Steven was so much fun to hang out with and he will always remember him as being the funny friend to be with.
Again I am so Sorry for your Loss of Steven.

Mike and JoAnn:
We are so sorry to hear of Steven's passing. We remember him vividly as a Slugger, his bright blonde hair sticking out from under his cap, his fierce competitiveness, and his clear joy in playing the game. We can imagine how difficult it must be to say goodbye. Our thoughts are with you--take care.
