Thomas Brett Obituary
Our beloved Thomas Dwight Brett, age 41 was taken too soon from this life on August 23, 2012 from injuries sustained in a home accident in which is typical of our Tommy, he was selflessly protecting the people he loved from accident or injury. Tom was born May 13, 1971 in Kennewick, Washington a son of Gary Dwight and Julie Clay Brett. Tom married the love of his life, Rose Bastos on November 10, 2007 in Eagle Mountain, Utah.
Tom graduated from Mountain View High School and went on to own his own business The Wired Guys. He was extraordinarily gifted with his hands, he could repair, build and create anything he set his mind to. He loved music, but his greatest joy and love came from being a husband and father. He lived his life for his family with them being his main focus in all that he did. He and Rose enjoyed vacationing and weekend getaways. He had a quick, dry and playful sarcastic sense of humor that he inherited from his father. He was an attentive, selfless kind soul who we all loved and laughed with. We will miss him everyday.
Survivors include his wife Rose, his parents Dwight and Luci Brett, his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Rose and Bob Halvorsen and his father-in-law Luiz Baston. His children Daniel, Kasia, McKenna, Joshua, Kyler and McKade. He is also survived by his siblings Travis (Carolynn) Brett, Tyler (Gabrielle) Brett, Laycee (Chris) Weier and Lane (Sabrina) Lawson and by his Aunt Bonnie who was his Mother away from home and also many aunts, uncles cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Julie Clay Brett and his sister Larissa Lawson.
Funeral services will be held Monday, August 27, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Geneva Heights 9th Ward Chapel, 1075 West 1100 North, Orem. A visitation will be held Sunday evening August 26, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary, 495 South State Street, Orem and also 9-9:45 prior to the services at the ward chapel on Monday. Interment will be in the Orem City Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.sundbergolpinmortuary.com

Tom, also known as our "audio guy", was fantastic at his job. He did all of the audio wiring for our gallery in SLC. He was reliable, professional, a joy to work with, and just a cool guy. Our hearts go out to his beautiful wife and family.

I met Tom only once. My home theater wasn't working and Tom and Rose came by my home and worked on that system for about an hour. When I asked him how much I owed him, he insisted it was on the house. Very giving man.
