Bobby "Bob" Brown Obituary

Bobby "Bob" G. Brown
September 4, 1941 - June 27, 2017

Bobby "Bob" G. Brown was born September 4th, 1941 in Birch Tree, Mo. to Glen E. and Edna E. Brown. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Kenneth E. and his brother Kenneth W. Brown. He leaves behind his loving wife Valeria, his daughter Karen Isom, his son-in-law Claude Isom, his two grandchildren Kenneth Marez and Nash Isom, as well as his brother Glen Brown and his sister Sue Smith. Bob and Valeria were married August 30th, 1959 in Eminence, Missouri. After working in Indiana and Missouri for two years, Bob and Valeria moved to California in 1962; first to Hinkley, then to San Bernardino, where Bob worked as a welder and in the irrigation business. In 1969 they moved to Helendale, California where their daughter Karen was born. While living in Helendale, Bob opened up Brown Irrigation, which served both farms and people alike. After working in the irrigation business for over 40 years, Bob retired and closed Brown Irrigation in 2014. Throughout his 40 years of service, Bob had many customers, but more importantly, he developed many long-lasting friendships that continued to the day of his passing. He was a dependable friend, a loving husband, and a dedicated father and grandfather. Even though we mourn his passing, he will always be remembered for being a honest, hardworking, dedicated man. Services will be held on Monday, July 3rd at 11am at Mead Mortuary on 36930 Irwin Rd. in Barstow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Helendale Community Church, in memory of Bob Brown.

Dear Mrs. Brown and Karen,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Mr. Brown was a kind man to me and one I remember fondly. My most memorable time with him was in the building and placement of the pot belly stove in your living room; I learned a lot that weekend. I remember his patience with us as well as his instruction.
I know he will be deeply missed.
Sending my love and thoughts.

Thanks for your friendship and kindness Bob, you helped us at the shop over and over and wouldn't take an oil change in return. Your generosity and smile will be missed.
