Robert Flores Obituary
December 17, 1946 - July 9, 2018
Robert G. Flores, Jr., husband, father, son, brother, nephew, grandfather, cousin, and uncle, passed away at the age of 71. Robert graduated from Barstow High School in 1964 - where he played baseball for the Riffians and had a reputation for a great curveball. As a Marine with the United States Marine Corps, Robert served two tours during the Vietnam War and was often called "Sgt. Rock" by his family and friends. Robert will be forever remembered by his wife Cinda, children Roshan Flores Skiver, Cindie (Mike) DiMario and Christopher (girlfriend Kate) Chavira, by his parents Nora McClain and Bobby Flores, brothers Rick Flores, Tom (Kit) Flores, sisters Sylvia Sanchez, Laura (Roy) Record, and Sonia Flores. Robert will also be remembered by his grandchildren, uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. Robert loved spending time with his family, sharing stories, traveling, playing golf, listening to the Blues and dancing, especially to Mexican music. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at 10:30am, at the Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Boulevard, Riverside, California. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Robert may be made to the Barstow High School Robert G. Flores Memorial Scholarship Fund.
