I'm so glad to say that I had the opportunity to work with Althea, She was a hard worker, wonderful woman and excellent mother. She always had a big smile that would light up a room. I know she is watching over all of us and she is resting well. She will watch over Khalia and guide her in the right direction.I will truely miss her, and will always remember you. God bless the family and give them strenght during this time.

True friends are hard to come by, and now I only have 2 as Althea has gone home. Since we met years ago driving the city bus, she has been a joy to be around. When we went out she always was the life of the party and no matter how you were feeling she would make you laugh. I moved from Des Moines in Sept of 2010 to Denver, and Althea attended my going away party. She knew only a couple of people, but by the time she left she had befriended many...Althea and Khalia were like family to me and I wish I could be thee during this time. As I pray for Khalia and her strength now and through the years, I pray Althea is at peace. She was and still is loved. I hope everyone continues that love through Khalia as she will need it the most. God Bless you all and I love you Althea.......

Althea Gordon was a wonderful women. She was like a second mom to me and my sister and she was like a sister to my mom. I remember all the times people would talk to Althea and they would smile because she was smiling. Her smiles were contagious and so was her laughter. She loved to have a good time with her daughter and everyone. In December 2010 I was in a talent show and so was Khalia. At the end of it everyone in the show got on the stage danced to cupid shuffle. Althea jumped on the stage and danced along with us. We miss you and will always remember you. We love you

Althea was truly a beautiful person. Her beautiful smile light up the room upon her entering. She will be truly missed by all of us that had the wonderful opportunity to work with her and get to know her personally. She always had a way of showing me the brighter side of the issue or problem. Althea Gordon was a true friend in a way that let me know that she would tell me the truth. Even if it hurt. That is a rare thing in this world. We cried together and we laughed together. She is still my friend and I will see her soon in Heaven. I hope the family is strong in these hard times because she sure was in life....
