Anna Falbo passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 3, 2015 in Des Moines with her loving family beside her. Anna was born on February 20, 1921 to Maria (Iaria) and Antonio Riccelli in Des Moines.

During WW II, Anna worked as a secretary at the Ordnance Plant in Ankeny and later co-owned the Food Brokerage Mario Falbo and Associates.

Anna is survived by her children, Pat (Rick) Schafer and Maria (Greg) Metge; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; sister, Frances Fazio; and numerous other loving family and special friends.

She was preceded by her husband, Mario; her parents; siblings, Louis and Nick Riccelli and Mary Scarcello.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 15 Indianola Road. Family will greet visitors an hour prior to the Mass at the church. She will be laid to rest at Glendale Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice of Central Iowa, Orchard Place or Multiple Sclerosis Association in memory of Anna.
