Cecilia Chirinos Obituary

Cecilia Chirinos, 73, of Perry, died Saturday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines.

Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Perry with burial in Violet Hill Cemetery in Perry. Visitation will be after Noon on Wednesday at Hastings Funeral Home in Perry. Her family will be present at 6 p.m and a Vigil Service will be at 7 p.m. Cecilia is survived by her mother Viola McMahon of Perry; son John (Jodi) Chirinos of Phoenix AZ; daughter Barbara Chirinos of Minneapolis, MN; brother Steve Main of Chicago, IL and sister Theresa (Paul) Cushman, Omaha NE; granddaughter Jana Chirinos of Phoenix, AZ and Cecilia's longtime companion Jerald L. Thompson of Derby, IA.

Memorials are suggested to American Cancer Society or the Humane Society of Perry and may be left at Hastings Funeral Home.

I was so sad to hear about Cecilia. We were co-workers and friends for many years. My thoughts and prayers are with her family. We are all blessed to have known her.

I am so sorry to hear the news. Cecilia was a wonderful lady very caring of others and the love for her mother whom will miss her very much. My father Bill Nath thought so much of Cecilia. My sympathy to
