Charlotte Jane Cooper, 82, of Marshalltown passed away on Friday, June 20, 2014 at her home under the care of the Iowa River Hospice Home.

Funeral services for Charlotte will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 26, 2014, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Public visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. also at Mitchell Family Funeral Home. Charlotte was born in Albion, Iowa on August 29, 1931. She was the oldest daughter of Nellie and Lester Isgrig. Charlotte graduated from Lamoille High School. On April 2, 1956 Charlotte was united in marriage to Gary D. Cooper. They resided in the same home their entire married life on the outskirts of Marshalltown. Charlotte was a long time employee of Cecil's Café. She was also a member of the Rock Valley Social Club and Hope United Methodist Church.

Charlotte is survived by her children: Mark (Lisa) Cooper of Garwin, Iowa, Conni (Terry) Odle of Altoona, Iowa and Kent Cooper of Marshalltown, Iowa. Grandchildren: Hallie (Nathan) Wiese, Jadi (Grant) Wilson, Sara (Brad) Smith and Wendee Cooper. Great grandchildren: Cooper and Leium Wiese. She is also survived by her sisters Phyllis Yearian and Judy (Ron) Peterson.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband Gary, her parents Nellie and Lester Isgrig and her brother William Isgrig.
