Chris was a loyal and loving father, husband, and faithful friend. He was a dedicated member of the Anderson Erickson Dairy family for over 25 years. Chris loved golf and was a Indianola Country Club member with his family for over 12 years. Chris was passionate about everything he did and did it well.
A Funeral Mass for Christopher T. Gehringer, 45, who died Tuesday, March 30, 2010, will be held 10 a.m., Monday, April 5 at the St. Thomas Aquinas Pastoral Center on Hwy 92 West, Indianola, with burial following in the St. Marys Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Mia; children, Angela (Jake) Miller, Tyler (Kellie Drake) Gehringer, Abby and Erin Gehringer; brothers, Chuck (Margie) and Marty (Christie) Gehringer; sisters, Theresa Smith, Maria (Kendall Tack) Gehringer and Tina (Patrick) Gehringer-Minor; parents-in-law, Joe and Sonnie Brommel; brother- in-law, Mike Brommel; sisters-in-law, Michele McClelland and Marcia (Wes Shannon) Davis. He was preceded in death by his parents, Doc and Janet Gehringer.
Visitation will be held 4 to 8 p.m., Sunday, April 4 at the St. Thomas Aquinas Pastoral Center with family present from 5 to 8 p.m. A Vigil service will be held 7:30 p.m. Sunday with a Knight of Columbus Rosary following.
