Clara "Terry" Piper

Clara E. "Terry" (George) Piper was born July 13, 1915 in Independence, Missouri, the daughter of William and Mary (Perks) George. She passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at Park Ridge Nursing and Rehab in Pleasant Hill. She was 98 years old.

Clara is survived by her children, Margaret Piper, Robert Piper, Henry Piper and Dottie Knight; three grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Piper; son, Lester Piper; grandson, Charles "Butchie" Knight; and son-in-law, Charles Knight.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 17, 2014 at Hamilton's Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines with burial to follow at Glendale Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Clara.
