Dan and I were 1st cousins. We used to play together sometimes as youngsters. I remember playing an electric vibrating football game with Danny as kids. He won of course. I was extremely proud of Dan as a member of the 'Packers', and many times as they were televised I would watch for #67, and when I spotted him, I'd yell. "there's Dan". In the later years Dan took up golf, and so did I, only apposite ends of the U.S.. I just wish we could have played a round of two at some point. Though our homes were miles apart in location, I'll miss him and the memories.

Dear Dan Grimm family, my name is Rick Miller my Dad was Rex Miller who was a cousin to Dans Mom and Dad. When I was a teenager my Dad and I were at a church breakfast during Lent. I think Dan was a guest speaker. Dad introduced me to Dan. At this moment all I could see was a Pro Football player who played for my Dads and mine favorite football team the Packers. I will also tell you that many times when the Packers would come up in any conversations I would tell my story of Dan and the Packers.
My wife and I on our vacation last year went to a Cubs game in Chicago then north to Green Bay. We took the tour at Lambeau field. In the gift shop I inquired about Dan. They found Dan in their records. I then had a tee shirt made up with Dan's number on the back and Grimm above his number.
I know your all grieving now , your family is in our prayers hoping to help you heal.
God Bless

Dan and I grew up in the same neighborhood in Perry, Iowa. We played many sandlot football games together, and he was a great friend. I've thought of those times often over the years. RIP, Dan

Cindy, Kevin, and family,
Loved my dad's stories of Dan, on the racquetball court, etc. In high school I got to wrestle Dan in our TV room; obviously wasn't much of a match. I remember walking into a hotel in Boulder and seeing a large picture of Dan in Buffaloes uniform. I have one of his NFL playing cards. I enjoyed talking to Dan, last saw him at the house in Naples. Rest in Peace Friend. Thanks for being Dad's buddy.
All our love,
Shep, Kathy, Warren, Win
(Warren graduates K-State this month/Mom and husband driving up. Win is frosh there.)
