We grew up together in Kellogg,Iowa and he was always a great person to hang out with. I worked for his Dad Kevin for awhile at Mick's Laundry and he would come help out sometimes. Was so sad to hear he passed away.

About Dan: Never held a conversation where we didn't laugh(a lot). Always willing to help with anything, I mean anything! He wouldn't let me decline his assistance if he knew I needed help. If my 747 broke down and I needed a new one, Dan would say let's build one! Dan you ever built one? NOPE lol. Dan was a doer that helped push me. He'd let me plop in his cube and rant on the way back to my desk(much needed at times). I enjoyed our tech talks and I'm glad we reconnected for our last few lunch meetups. He taught me a lot and did a lot for me and my family. We are forever grateful for everything, thank you for your friendship.

I worked with Dan at Nationwide Insurance. I was sad to have gotten the news of his passing this past weekend. To his family and friends, I'm so very sorry for your loss. Dan was such a nice guy, and a very smart and motivated worker. It always cracked me up to hear his pet parrot in the background during our team calls. I got to know Dan a little better after his Dad passed away several years ago. I was still grieving the loss of mine, and we had that in common at that time. Please know that you are in my thoughts and most definitely my prayers as you push on through these very difficult days.

It’s hard to express the type of person Dan was to not only myself but everyone. He was in my wedding, involved with my kids, provided insight, laughter, and was ALWAYS there to help with anything that could possibly be needed. We worked together, became close friends, and lived with each for about a year. We had so many good times and shared so many memories I will cherish forever.
I have lost track of the amount of times Dan was there to help me out. He did so much.helped with home improvements (I should say it was more like I assisted him), gave career advice, life advice, and could always be counted on for a good laugh! Even if the daily grind of life and family caused us not to see each other as much as we use to..we had this bond where we could immediately pick up where we left off. He was extremely easy to talk to..so many times would the intent of the conversation be more of the business variety.it was only a matter of minutes before it was derailed with inside jokes, tangents, and deep down uncontrollable laughter.
That is exactly who Dan was.loyal, helpful, and one of the best friends a person could ever ask for. You will be deeply missed buddy. I will see you again in the future my brother!

Truly a sad day. My heart is broken to realize that this has occurred. Dan was a wonderful young man who was kind, so helpful and always had a wonderful smile. God gained a true Angel.

I was so sorry to hear of Dan's passing. I feel privileged to have know him. He was my go to with my computer problem's. (not my thing) He also built some window seals for my windows that matched so good you would have thought they came that way. He will be missed for who he was...a caring and helpful and up beat young man. May God comfort you as only He can.

I knew Dan for many years and was heartbroken to hear of his passing. He always had a smile and was a truly caring and loving person. I can still hear his laugh. The world was a better place for him having been in it. He will be truly missed.

I consider myself lucky to have known Dan on a personal and professional level. Dan lit up a room with his vivid personality and glowing smile. Always helpful and willing to give his shirt off his back. An amazing soul he will be greatly missed.

Jen, Avery, Carter, Diana, Katie and family,
There are no words to express the heart wrenching ache and deep sorrow we feel at the devastating loss of Dan. How blessed we were to know him and call him our dear friend. He was the epitome of a loving and caring friend, going out of his way to help everyone and anyone he could. We considered him family, loving him like a brother. We shared so many happy times together, and looked forward to many more. It's unfathomable that he is gone. He will be remembered fondly, with love and a big warm smile by all that knew him. An angel on earth who will continue to be a guardian angel among us.
All our love to you. Please know we are here for all of you, as Dan always was for us.
~The picture is of an amazingly detailed and beautiful horse tack cabinet that Dan recently built for us. A truly talented woodworker. We will treasure it always. Love and miss you, Dan!
