Darlene Tomlinson, 83, of Bondurant passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Dec. 30, 2014.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m., January 3, 2015 at Ankeny Methodist Life Center (710 N.E. 36th St.)
A visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service.
Darlene was born in Des Moines, March 30, 1931. She was married to Donald Tomlinson Jr. in 1948. They made their home in Ankeny where they raised their 2 children, Doug and Cindy. After Donald's retirement they moved to Bondurant where they spent their summers, and enjoyed wintering in Mesa, AZ.
Darlene is survived by her children, Doug (Vicki), and Cindy T. Mundell; grandchildren, Tracey (Tony) Nygren, Tia Natalie (Jason), Nicholas (Chelsey), Michaelle (Josh), and Jeff (McKenzie); 8 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; 2 sisters, Genevieve Munyon and Marilyn Stump; 5 neices.
She is preceded in death by her parents Leonard and Lillian, husband Donald, and 2 brothers Edward and Harold.

Doug, Cindy and family, Chuck and I were sorry to learn of your Mom's passing. As we are on our way out of the country, we're sorry to say we'll be unable to attend her service but trust it will be a comforting time meeting with friends and family remembering Darlene's life.
