Darwin Palmer Obituary
Barnes City
Darwin Palmer, 91 of Barnes City passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at Mahaska Health Partnership in Oskaloosa. Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 15, 2012 at the Barnes City Community Life Center. Interment will be held in the Barnes City Cemetery in Barnes City. Visitation will begin after 3 p.m. on Friday, December 14, 2012 at the Holland-Coble Funeral Home in New Sharon with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Barnes City Community Life Center. Friends may sign the online guestbook at www.hollandcoblefuneralhomes.com. Holland-Coble Funeral Home of New Sharon is in charge of arrangements.
His memory will be honored by his wife of nearly 72 years, Hazel of Barnes City; three sons, Ron (Bonnie) Palmer of Pleasant Hill, Terry (Sandy) Palmer of Denver, Colorado and Bruce (Barbara) Palmer of Dunwoody, Georgia; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and many friends. Darwin was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters; Dorothy McConkey and Marilyn Riggs.
