EVANGELINE L. STEIN
Des Moines
Evangeline Stein 92, died Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at Taylor Hospice House. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Christ the King Catholic Church with burial following at Glendale Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Hamilton's Southtown Funeral Home with a rosary at 7:30 p.m.
Evangeline was a long time member of Christ the King and a member of the Altar and Rosary society.
She is survived by her children, John (Betsy) Stein of Hillsboro, OR, Gretchen (Larry) Holmes of Plano, TX, Deborah (Mike) Mathis of Des Moines, IA, Karen (Eddie) Newman of Eldridge, IA, Christine (Steve) Steele of Mesa, AZ; brother, Ambrose Strittmatter of Monticello, IA; twelve grandchildren, twelve great- grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John of 62 years.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Taylor Hospice House or Society of St. Vincent de Paul.
