Floyd Eugene May, son of Lloyd Walter May and Edith Jean (Goodrich) May was born September 28, 1947, in Des Moines, Iowa and passed from this life January 17, 2009 at his home in Columbia, Missouri at 61 years of age.
Floyd grew up in Des Moines and attended Lincoln High School. He had worked in construction field.
Floyd enjoyed going to Casinos, watching football, tinkering in his shed, and playing with the dogs in the yard.
Those relatives who preceded Floyd in death were his parents; and brothers, Ralph and Gary.
He leaves to cherish his memory; wife: Renea May, children: Tracey (Drew) Shirey; Mandy Jo May (Matt), Kip May granddaughters: Kristen, Casey and Jordon Shirey sisters: Linda (Sid) Cox, Tony (David) Geisler, Nancy May, Vicky Jones, Mindy (Bill) Blue brothers, Morris (Sue) May, Terry May, Mike (Peggy) May, Greg (Valerie) May, Jon (Lori) May, Jim (April) May several nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Services will be held at Kale Funeral Home, Thursday, January 22, 2009, at 1 p.m. with Rev. Jerry Kramer of the New Virginia United Methodist Church officiating.
Family will greet friends one hour prior to services on Thursday at Kale Funeral Home, Osceola.
Interment will follow in the New Virginia Cemetery, New Virginia, Iowa .
Contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
