George Philip "Phil" Clearman passed away

September 27, 2016 at his home in West Des Moines. Phil was born January 3, 1932 in Des Moines, Iowa to Ray and Bernice Clearman. Phil graduated from Roosevelt High School and Drake University and served in the Army Reserve. He lived in the Des Moines area his entire life. Phil was in the Wholesale and Retail gasoline business for 45 years. He enjoyed participating in Masonic Fraternites including Za Ga Zig Shrine, Des Moines Scottish Rite and Home Lodge No. 370.

Phil is survived by his children, Tom (Beverlee), John (Kolette), Anna Bingham (Dale) and Jim (Vicky), 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and 3 nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Mary Johnson of Fremont, NE. His body has been cremated, a private family service will be held.

Memorial donations may be made to Unity Point Blank Children's Hospital.
