What a beautiful tribute to a beautiful lady. The prayer at the end is just one of many examples of the living legacy of Bob & Midge. I will forever cherish my years with Bob in GABC Orchestra. I was privileged to travel with Bob, Midge, and the entire GloryLand Singers Choir to a Chatauquah many years ago in what turned out to be one of the best vacations I have ever taken. My greatest memory, one I've shared many times, is when the architects spoke to the congregation and presented their model of the new sanctuary plans. I carried a microphone during the Q/A time. Bob waited until the end, and when it was his turn to speak, he said, "I can't see a cross on the steeple of your model." The man replied, "We didn't put one on here. It's a simple matter of preference. Some churches do and others don't." Bob put the mic very close to his mouth and said, "Well, this church does!" A thunderous applause broke out, and that was the end of the service! In closing, I would like to point out one obvious but important omission from Midge's tribute: She made the BEST Mexican food EVER---her enchiladas were INCREDIBLE! I enjoyed them many times, including the story of how she learned to make them! Midge was a shining example of a "P-31 Woman" and we are all better because of knowing her! The best part is knowing this is only a temporary separation! Praise God. I love you all, and am praying for you. Lance (Former GABC Organist & Celebration Orchestra Pianist)
