James Samuel Pirillo, age 84, passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.
James was born August 18, 1931 in Des Moines, Iowa to Joseph and Theresa (Berardi) Pirillo. He enjoyed the outdoors, cycling, and his cat, Missy.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Camden-Pirillo; his children, Michael (Diana Carlos-Pirillo) Pirillo, Catherine (Brian) Gochnauer, and Jimmy Joe (Michelle) Pirillo; step-son, Wes Camden; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and siblings, Clara Formaro and John Pirillo.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Pete Pirillo, Tony Pirillo, Connie Sciorrotta, Mamie Soda, Rosie Soda, and Rose Murano.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, July 8, 2016 at Hamilton's Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Graveside service will begin at 2 p.m., Saturday, July 9, 2016 at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family.

I am so sorry for your loss,I work with Jim for 26 years at Woodford Mfg. and we even square dance together, we had good times back then. May God watch over his family.
