I’m so sorry I’m late to learn about Jeff’s passing! I worked with him for a short time at Younker’s Merle Hay and he left a lasting impression on me that still brings him to the forefront of memories to this very day. He was a kind, creative and accepting man that made me feel worthy and necessary. RIP

It was a pleasure to have known Jeffrey. He was one of my publish house representatives for many years. We shared many dinners whenever he overnighted in my area, and, from the start, we just clicked. I shall miss our conversations...and the good laughs we shared. He was a very good person and had many fine qualities. I was saddened to hear of his passing. He was one of those persons a fellow meets who is never forgotten.

I knew Jeff for nearly 30 years. When he would stop by my office, we'd always have a great time. Smart, quick, literate, quirky. I will miss him.

I had the great pleasure of working with Jeff. He was the kindest most caring man. Extremely intelligent and the best sense of humor. I truly loved every moment I worked with him. It was always a fun adventure! He never met a stranger and people would light up when engaging with him. He will be so missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you, Geoffrey, Colleen, and Tracie.

I was saddened to hear of Jeff's passing. We were great friends growing up together. I am glad we were able to see each other a few times in later life. Jeff excelled in everything especially sports and you did not want to be in left field when Jeff was at bat as you would soon find yourself crawling under the fence to search for his home run in the woods. I know he will be missed by many.

My love and thoughts go out to Jeff's family and to Tracie.
I had the pleasure of working with Jeff at both Prentice Hall and Cengage. I so enjoyed his intellect and dry humor in my early days in publishing at Prentice Hall. He brought integrity and class to publishing.
He will be missed.

I'm very sorry to hear of Jeff's passing. We were friends @ Central HS in Omaha. Even though he was into basketball, football & track he still had time to be friends with a guy like me on the debate team. He was always a very nice guy and he will be missed. Sincerely, Larry Kay, Arizona

I am so sorry to hear of Jeff's passing.
I had the pleasure of working with Jeff as buyers at Younkers. Jeff was a joy to be with! He had the gift to both amuse and delight his friends. He was one of the most positive people I ever met. Endlessly uplifting, a constant comedian, and such fun to be around. A sweet and thoughtful man, Jeff will be remembered and missed by so many of us.
My sincere condolences to the family. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

I am so very sorry to here this. I worked with Jeff at Thomson and then Cengage. As a new rep, he always helped me, was very patient and would answer all my questions. After becoming ' seasoned', he would call me, pretending to be a professor with crazy requests, like to send their sample book to India, because he was supposedly on a research trip or some other crazy request. One night, at a dinner with many courses and much wine, I shared that my favorite book of all time is A Confederacy of Dunces and had the most wonderful stories about New Orleans and connections to that book. I will keep your family in my thoughts and prayers. The world is missing one of the good ones.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Krum...I knew Jeffrey for many years from Cengage. He was one of the kindest people I know. When we came to Des Moines for a funeral of a friend, he arranged our whole trip and a lunch and made sure that everyone was comfortable. He will be missed..what a great guy.

I believe that Jeff and I were classmates in early Elementary school at Jefferson Elemtary, Des Moines. I visited his home on several occasions at the Watrose Ave. House. I think his Dad worked for Younkers Bros. Am sorry to read of his death. My thoughts and prayers for his family.
