Jeffrey Siddens
Urbandale
Jeffrey Alan Siddens, 52, affectionately known as Paw Paw, SB and Sport, went peacefully to be with his Lord and Savior at Kavanagh Hospice House surrounded by his loving family after a long, courageous and hard-fought battle with Colon Cancer.
Jeff was born April 15th, 1965, in Danville, Illinois, where he was raised until his teen years and moved with his family to Norwalk. He graduated from Norwalk and went on to the start his automotive career at Lincoln Tech in the mid 80's. After Graduation Jeff started his long career at Jordan Motors as a technician and worked his way thru the rankings to manage the Parts Departments for Jordan and Lithia until having to leave his 29-year career due to his illness in 2016.
Jeff loved life and was a very hardworking, funny and talented man. His dimples and smile would light up a room. He lived life to the fullest and when he wasn't working, he was having fun doing all the things he loved. Travel was a constant and he loved to dig a hole on a beach somewhere just like a little kid at heart making sure he had sand toys to do it. He had a passion for the water and spent many years at Saylorville Lake, and at one point or another he owned almost every kind of boat there was whether it was a fishing boat, a ski boat, a houseboat or a jet ski. He told us, in some of his last words, he would be up in Heaven Captaining a large ship. Many fun times were had on the water with his kids and friends so he could feel like a kid himself. From Saylorville Lake, Jeff's passion for the water carried onto his dream home in the Lake of the Ozarks, Linn Creek, Missouri, where his family spent the past 3 years remodeling their dream home to live on the lake.
When Jeff wasn't working, boating or traveling he always had to do a project, was bored if he didn't have one to do, and he had a great talent in being able to do anything and everything when it came to building a deck to redoing a home. Date nights were spent at Home Improvement stores and were exciting. Many projects involved his boys, teaching them everything he knew so they could reap the rewards of success and his entire group of family and friends enjoyed the many beautiful projects he built. He loved the holidays, especially Christmas, where he could get toys himself along with the kids.
Jeff accomplished many things in life, but the very greatest accomplishment was the love of his kids. He was hard on them while teaching them projects only wanting them to realize what was best in life for them so they could know that in order to play hard, you had to work hard. He loved his BUBBA and his BEAN and his SIS and then when princess sassy pants came along he so loved her too. Those that knew Jeff well, most likely had a nickname of some sort. I think we can count over 40 friends that he dubbed whatever he wanted to call them and it stuck.
Jeff leaves behind his best friend and loving wife of 15 years Connie, son Nicholas Siddens (Nick's mom-Jeff's 1st wife Lisa Miller), stepdaughter Meghan Campbell, stepson Nicolas Campbell, loving angel and light of his life granddaughter Norah Jane (daughter of Meghan), parents Robert and Lois Siddens, brothers Monte Siddens (wife Judy), David Siddens, and numerous extended loving family of niece, nephew, Aunts, Uncles, cousins and inlaws, as well as many loving friends. He also leaves behind some very wonderful and amazing close friends, who he cherished great memories with. Jeff was preceded by his infant sister Star, grandparents Sam and Elizabeth DeNeal, and grandparents Cleo and Ruth Siddens.
Our families cannot thank everyone enough, to the ends of the earth, and all the stars, and the sand, for your love and support through Jeffrey's journey. You all made it possible to realize was life is truly all about. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 on Friday, November 24, 2017, at Westover Funeral Home at 6337 Hickman Rd.
