In Loving Memory of Alan H. Siddens

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Alan H. Siddens who left this world peacefully on September 8, 2025, at the age of 74 surrounded by his loving family.

Born on December 14, 1950, in Selma, Alabama Alan lived a life marked by integrity and kindness. His love for his family was unwavering. He was a gifted musician whose love for music ran deep. Whether playing his guitar or singing and sharing his favorite tunes, Alan's music was an extension of his heart. He enjoyed riding his Harley both as a hobby and as a member of the V-Twin Cruisers and coaching his girls in softball and volleyball.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Kathy Hogan Siddens of Virginia Beach; his daughters Dawn Siddens of Panama City, FL, Jana Dugas of Virginia Beach, Emily (Shane) Phillips of Chase City, VA; his grandchildren, Brittney (Matt) Burns of Panama City, FL, Lexi Dugas, Gracie Dugas, Belle Dugas and David Dugas III of Virginia Beach; four great-grandchildren Sydney, Bryce, Jaxson and Nova Jane; his brother James (Leigh) Siddens of Birmingham, AL; his sisters-in-law Joy Maske of Germantown TN, Jan (Matt) Jaworsky of Virginia Beach; and brother-in-law Pete (Betty) Hogan of Greer, SC. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Earl and Beverley Jordan Siddens of Selma, AL; sister Kathryn Williams of Montgomery, AL; brothers-in-law Charles Maske and Buck Williams.

A graveside service will be held on September 12, 2025, at 2:00PM in Eastern Shore Chapel Cemetery located at 2020 Laskin Rd, Virginia Beach, VA 23454. Arrangements are being handled by H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, located at 2002 Laskin Rd, Virginia Beach, VA 23454. A reception will follow.

Though he is no longer with us in body, his spirit lives on in the love he gave, the lessons he taught, and the lives he shaped. We will miss him deeply and hold him in our hearts forever.
