Ankeny
John H. Deer, 67, of Ankeny passed away March 20, 2017.
John was born February 7, 1950 in Des Moines, Iowa to John and Betty Deer. He grew up in the Runnells area, and graduated from S.E. Polk High School, and went on to serve 2 years with the US Army.
He retired February 6, 2017 from John Deere after 43 years of service.
He enjoyed his annual trips to South Dakota and Wyoming, and riding his Harley Davidsons.
John is survived by his loving wife Mary; his 2 daughters, Angie (Jason) Rosenbalm, and Amber (Darren) Battershell; Mary's children, Jennifer Kramme, and Luke (Chantel) Kramme; 6 grandchildren; a sister Sharon (Jim) Motis; and his father John H. Deer Sr.
Memorials may be directed to Food Bank of Iowa or Puppy Jake Foundation.
No services are planned.

I am honored to have met John we had plenty of long conversations he gave me insight on so many things and most of all he could get me out of a bad mood by just listen to my problems I had at work he will be missed
