A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial for John H. "Jack" Wesenberg, 87, a resident of Tulsa, Oklahoma, formerly of Davenport, will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 16, 2014 at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, Davenport. His family will greet friends prior to mass at church from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in Holy Family Cemetery. Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home assisted his family with arrangements. John Herman Wesenberg was born January 16, 1927 in Davenport, Iowa the son of Herman B. and Nellie (Watterson) Wesenberg. He was united in marriage to Alice J. McMahill on September 10, 1949. She preceded him in death, March 2, 2004.

Jack was a former longtime executive vice president and COO of the Tulsa Regional Chamber and former board chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce Executives, passed away on April 25, 2014. Jack was a standout in the chamber profession. He worked as the Senior Vice President of the Tulsa chamber for many years and had previously served in leadership roles at the Des Moines, Iowa and Albuquerque, New Mexico chambers. He served on the board of The State Chamber of Oklahoma and was a former chair of the Oklahoma Chamber of Commerce Executives. After retiring from the Tulsa Chamber, he was named to the Oklahoma Chamber of Commerce Executives Hall of Fame and made an honorary life member of the American chamber of Commerce Executives Association.

He is survived by daughters Anne Wesenberg-Acker (Troy) of Broken Arrow, OK, Sue Zwirner of Albuquerque, NM and son James Wesenberg of Des Moines, IA, sister Mary Claire Meyer (John) of Peoria, IL, daughter-in-law, Mary Wesenberg of Bloomington, MN, six grandchildren, four great grandchildren and four nephews.

Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Alice, and son, John on April 17, 2013.
