Kathleen Mary Clark, 76 died on March 22, 2013. She was born in Council Bluffs, IA on March 11, 1937 to Steven and Mildred O'Donnell. On July 5, 1959, Kathleen was united in marriage to Robert Clark. The couple had one son, Michael Clark.

Kathleen was a teacher who loved to teach and help her students learn. Then changed careers and became a sales associate for Gap, Inc. There are many who will remember her helpfulness in selecting outfits at Banana Republic. She loved her dachshunds and walking them 3-5 miles per day. Kathy was an avid reader in her spare time.

Kathleen loved her family and friends deeply. She gave generously of herself in many roles. Whether she was teaching elementary school students, caring for her parents, loving her husband, raising her son, or rocking her grandchildren, Kathleen touched everyone's life with warmth and caring. Living was her life. Loving others was her purpose. She made us all better people and the world was better for her.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Clark of Urbandale; son, Michael Clark; daughter-in-law, Kyle Zimmer; grandsons, Conner and Ian all of Silver Spring, MD; sister, Janet Banks of Boston, MA.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Steve and Mildred O'Donnell.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 28, 2013 from 3-5 p.m. at Caldwell Raddatz Funeral Home, 8201 Hickman road. A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. following the visitation.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Young Women's Resource Center, Des Moines, Iowa. Online condolences may be left at caldwellraddatz.com

I just learned of Kathy's passing today! So very sad, I know it had been along time since we had seen one another but thought of both of you often! Every year I put up the Xmas tree I think of you have several ornaments that Kathy gave us, makes me smile!
