Kathleen (Lawless) Gray was born September 17, 1956 to James and Mary Belle (McPherson) Lawless in Des Moines. She graduated from Dowling Catholic High School in 1974. Kathleen was a lifelong member of Saint Theresa's Catholic Church where she was very active, especially with the "church ladies". Kathleen worked at Dahl's as a floral designer. She was the most creative, talented and caring person. She loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her two grandsons. She never missed a chance to celebrate every holiday, Halloween being her favorite. Kathleen loved her work as a floral designer at Dahls. It was the perfect creative outlet for her.

Kathleen passed away Thursday, January 8, 2015. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 12, 2015 at Saint Theresa's Catholic Church in Des Moines. Burial will follow at Glendale Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:30 p.m. with a Rosary service following on Sunday, January 11 at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home & Crematory in Urbandale.

Kathleen is survived by her daughter, Jayme (Chad) Millhollin; son, Ryan Gray; grandsons, Maxwell and Jack Millhollin; parents, Jim and Mary Belle Lawless; sisters, Maureen (Mike) Spellman, Martha Lawless; brothers, Michael (Marcie) Lawless, Kerry (Glenna) Lawless and Dan (Peggy) Lawless and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
