Sweet and loving soul, she is. We were fortunate to have met and blessed by her presence, as I'm sure many have been. It only takes one life to touch thousands. The ripple affect has been felt within each of us. Our deepest and most sincere condolences, Dr. Eels and family. She blessed my life for just having met her. With all of our love,Karie Modlin, Dr. Modlin, and Gracyn Modlin

I had the pleasure of working with Kathryn for several years at Heartland AEA. She was a lovely, charming, and witty friend and workmate. She was always kind and thoughtful to everyone. When my first grandchild was born she presented me with a "Pat the Bunny" book to read to her. We wore out that first book! I have continued that lovely tradition with others, thanks to Kathryn. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Kathryn was a fellow Special Education Consultant and friend whose quiet, dry sense of humor was one of her endearing qualities, and a highlight of many meetings! She was intelligent, professional, and above all, pragmatic. Her 'light' will be missed.

I was fortunate to work with Kathryn for many years as an educator. She provided invaluable support to teachers and parents serving children with special needs. However, what I remember most about Kathryn is her kindness and grace. Sending my sympathy from Summit Middle School in Johnston.
