Larry had a contagious laugh And full of love and generosity that was unlike any other. He had a great relationship with God the Father and an ear to hear his voice. He will greatly be missed

I met Larry through the Iowa Prayer Breakfast a few years ago when he was the Chair of the Committee. At one meeting we were the first two to arrive. In his gentle way, Larry asked me about myself and what I did for a living. I was currently in between jobs and was focused on trying to get a job with the new hockey team that had come to Des Moines. Larry asked if he could pray with me and I agreed. He didn't pray how I thought he was going to pray but how the Lord led him to pray. He prayed that I would get the "desires of my Heart." Little did I know at the time that the prayer would be answered in a way I didn't expect. I had worked in politics before and had loved it. I didn't get a job with the hockey team but instead was given a job working in the very building where that prayer took place-the State Capitol. I will be starting my 7th year working for a State Representative doing a job that I love.
