Linda Marie Cook, 62, passed away peacefully at her residence on Tuesday, July 5, 2011.

Memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 9, 2011 at Hamilton's Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Inurnment will follow at Oakdale Cemetery in Adel, Iowa.

Linda was born October 23, 1948 in Iowa City, Iowa to Norma Jean and Lawrence Scritchfield. She worked for the state of Iowa until her recent retirement. Linda was a member of the American Legion and Auxiliary Post 464, Adel and enjoyed her cat, George.

Linda is survived by her son, Tim (Cyndi) Cook; granddaughter, Emily; aunt, Shirley (Bob) Wolfe; and cousins, Denise McAtee and Chuck Wolfe. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Randy Witkowski; and step-father, Frank Witkowski.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Linda.
