Margaret Webb Obituary

On April 9, 2017 Margaret Duval Jarman Webb beloved wife of the late John W. T. Webb; mother of E. Penelope Webb, J. W. Thompson Webb and Margaret Webb Heyssel. Also survived by 6 grandchildren. Mrs. Webb was born and raised in Waterville, New York. When she was a teenager her family made a permanent move to a farm in Princess Anne, MD where they had spent summers for many years. She attended high school at Foxhollow School in Lenox, MA and was married soon after graduating. She and Mr. Webb made their home and raised their children in Salisbury, MD, where Mrs. Webb lived until she moved to Roland Park Place in Baltimore several years ago. Mrs. Webb did a lot of volunteer work over the years. She was a volunteer teacher in a local elementary school where she worked with advanced students on special projects. She volunteered at the Ward Museum of Wildfowl Art in Salisbury in many roles, including as a docent and as a member of the Board of Directors. While Mrs. Webb was on the board, the museum broke ground and built on its current location. For many years she worked with museum staff to sponsor and coordinate the World Wildfowl Carving Competition. Mrs. Webb also served on the Board of Directors of the Village of Hope in Salisbury. She was an avid gardener and bird watcher; she enjoyed playing tennis, loved long walks, and worked out weekly with a personal trainer up until a couple of weeks before she died. Interment will be private. Please omit flowers. Contributions in Margaret's memory may be made to The Ward Foundation, Inc., 909 S. Schumaker Drive, Salisbury, MD 21804.
