Adel
Mark Render, 48, left this earth February 14, 2010 of heart failure at Mercy West.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Friday, February 19 at St. John's Catholic Church in Adel with burial at Walnut Township Cemetery in Waukee. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Thursday at the church where family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. with a vigil service at 7 p.m. McCalley Funeral Home in Adel is handling arrangements.
Mark was a Waukee resident until he and his mother moved to DCCF in 1997, where he lived and worked. He was an active member in his church, Knights of Columbus, and an honorary Dallas County Sheriffs Deputy. Mark enjoyed his many friends, books, bowling and garage saling.
He is survived by his brother, Joe Render; sister, Terri Davis; and his fiancé, Michelle Waterbury. He also leaves a niece; four nephews and a great nephew.
Mark was welcomed home by his parents; Maurice and Lois; sister, Chris and brother, John.
Memorial contributions may be directed to his church.
