Mary Fauster

Urbandale - Mary Ellen Fauster, 82, passed away on Wednesday, March 15th, 2018.

Mary Ellen was born on August 27th, 1936 to Lester and Sylvia Falbe, in Cornell, Wisconsin. While attending elementary school in Cornell, the family was transferred to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where Mary attended Shorewood High School. Upon graduation Mary enrolled into Prospect Hall Business College and became an administrative assistant to one of the major partners of a major law firm. Mary had many friends and became interested in ballroom dancing, she became an accomplished dancer marrying her instructor, Joseph Fauster on August 26th, 1961.

Mary was a very caring and devoted Mom. She was active in the church choir, which became a great source of friendship and comfort for her family. Mary was truly an avid Green Bay Packers and Iowa Hawkeye fan and enjoyed "stongly discussing" the teams with relatives and friends.

Mary will be deeply missed by her family and husband, Joseph of fifty-seven years; sons, Scott (Brenda) Fauster, and Todd Fauster; 2 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Wieshiepl; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mary was preceeded in death by her parents, Lester and Sylvia Falbe and sister, Loretta Dumholt.

Visitation will be held Thursday, March 22nd from 9:30-11:00 with a Memorial Service starting at 11:00 a.m. at Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home & Crematory in Urbandale. As per Mary's wishes cremation was afforded and burial at McDivitt Grove Cemetary, Meredith Drive, Urbandale, Iowa, will take place following the memorial service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Animal Rescue League of Iowa and the Iowa Heart Funds.
