Torrence, 28, passed away Friday, June 2, 2017, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Cremation rites have been accorded and a Celebration of Life will be held Sunday June 25, 2017, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Union Labor Park, 4640 NW Morningstar Dr., Des Moines, Iowa 50313.
Matt was born October 28, 1988, in Des Moines, to Larry and Terri (Clark) Torrence and grew up in Dallas Center and Johnston. He worked as an electrician for Cupertino Electric Company for three years and was a proud member of IBEW Local #347.
Matt is survived by his mother, Terri Clark, his girlfriend, Ellaine Watkins, siblings, Jenny (Jason) Shirk, Jill (Paul) Scherff and Bill Torrence; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family for a memorial to be directed later. Online condolences will be welcomed at IlesCares.com.
