What Pat Thompson Woodward knew about life and love and all the best qualities of an ethically superior human showed best in each of her upstanding and well-liked children. More than all she did, it was who she was that furthered education. I am grateful to have known her, am sad that she's no longer here, and wish her family the consolations of all good memories of her.

Pat was an exemplary community citizen. She was an excellent school board member and state legislator, always open-minded and respectful of the opinions of others. She will be missed.

Dear Mary,
Though I haven't seen you in years, I recognized your name in this obit. You and your family have all my sympathy. Your mother certainly served her community well, didn't she. I'm sure you have lots to be proud of and many, many good memories.
