Patrick Lippert Obituary
Cumming - Patrick J. Lippert, 59, passed away suddenly Thursday, June 3, 2021, in West Des Moines, IA. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 12, 2021 during a luncheon at Bailey's Pub and Grub in Des Moines.
Pat was born May 17, 1962, in Elgin, IL., to Clarence and Shirley (Watson) Lippert. In 1967, the family moved to Des Moines where Pat and his siblings grew up. Pat graduated from Herbert Hoover High School in 1980 and became a certified heating and air conditioning technician from Des Moines Area Community College in 1982. Pat worked most of his career at the United States Post Office. Pat loved fishing, NASCAR, bicycling, and outdoor concerts. He had a true love for socializing with friends and always had a grin and a joke at the ready. His gentle nature and good heart will be missed by all.
Pat is survived by his siblings, Daniel (Annette) Lippert of Johnston, IA; Michelle (Ozzy Thorland) Lippert of Cumming, IA; nephew, Joshua Lippert of Longmont, CO; niece Alyssa Thorland; uncle, Richard "Dick" Lippert of Rockford, IL; as well as many cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Suzanne Lippert; uncles Clarendon "Butch" and William "Bill" Lippert; and his aunt, Dorothy Amundson of Waterloo, IA.
Contributions may be made to the University of Iowa Burn Treatment Center, where Patrick spent six months in 2018. Online condolences will be welcomed at IlesCares.com.
