Paul Eugene Trisler

Des Moines - Paul passed away , December 23, 2017, after a lengthy battle with pancreatic cancer.

He was born , Paul Eugene Boe, November 21, 1961 to Connie (Geary) and Eugene Boe, of , Oelwein, Iowa . He was adopted at the age of 2, by his dad , Don Trisler,Sr.

Paul graduated in 1981 from Mt. Pleasant High School . During his years in school he played baseball,football, and rugby . Going on as an adult to play Semi-Pro Rugby.

He always enjoyed a good sports game,especially when , the Iowa Hawkeyes, Washington Redskins, Iowa & Chicago Cubs, were on the boob-tube.

He had numerous jobs throughout the years with his latest with, The City of Des Moines , in the traffic and lighting department, as a signal technician.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Eastside Moose Lodge, on January 6th, 2018, for which he was a longtime member and always enjoyed the fish fries there!

Paul is survived by his parents , Donald, Sr ( Lu Jean ) Trisler . Brothers, Donald, Jr (Rochelle) Trisler, James (Marcia) Trisler . Sisters Tonya (Joe) Battin, Teresa ( Steve ) Allen , Jacquelyn ( Jim ) Penoch . He is also survived by many nieces , nephews and friends.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Connie Trisler and Eugene Boe. Grandparents, Herald and Gladys Grummitt, Clarence and Ulzada Trisler.

At this time the family would like to thank family friends Daniel ( Deb) Snelson, Tyler ( Tara) Snelson, Adam ( Angie) Snelson and John ( Angie) Meeks, whom Paul, always considered family.

They would also like to thank the staff of Mercy Hospice.
