Piper Schrodt Obituary
Piper was born September 9, 2008 at Methodist Hospital in Des Moines. She lived each day of her short life to the fullest enjoying gymnastics and playing with her parents, friends and family.
She is survived by her parents Michael and Amy Schrodt (Waukee), grandparents: Steve and Laura Schrodt (Altoona), Irvin and Glenda Larsen (Urbandale), great-grandparents: Gerald and Shirley Hedstrom (Storm Lake), Elliott and Norma Larsen (Spencer), Harold and Evelyn Schrodt, three uncles, two aunts, and five cousins. She was preceded in death by Great-Grandma Gladys Hedstrom (Ida Grove) and Great-Grandparents Ben and Dorothy Nelson (Gowrie). Good night Piper Jean, we love you.

I made the mistake and opened your baby wash and took a deep breath, oh my love I miss our bath times and baby massage,drying your hair, putting your jammies on and then getting in grandma's bed and going night-night. Patting my face and saying " Oh grandma,Oh grandma". What am I going to do......

Amy and Michael, no words or actions can ever take away the terrible pain of losing a child. However, relish the memories, good and bad and share your pain with each other, family and friends. Piper is still being the wonderful precious little girl in Heaven and adding a new special light to Heaven. Time won't heal the pain either, but time will help each of you learn how to deal with the pain and sorrow. Keep the memories alive and Piper lives each and every day in your hearts forever.
