Randall James Moore, 53, of Ames, IA, passed away at his home on Friday, May 28, 2010.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at 3 p.m. at Bethesda Lutheran Church in Ames. His family will greet friends from 2 to 3 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Ames Municipal Cemetery.
Randall Moore was born December 27, 1956 in Ames to Edward and Doris Moore. He graduated from Ames High School in 1975. He married Gayla on August 4, 1979.
He was a member of the 25 year club at Iowa State University. He was a member of the Ames Area Bowling Association; past president of the Ames Area Merchant's Bowling League; and served on the Ames Area United States Bowling Congress board of directors since 2003.
Randy had a passion for fishing, hunting, bowling, ISU athletic events, poker tournaments, family vacations, photography, and his antique pool table. He is survived by his wife, Gayla Moore; son, Dallas (Ashley) Moore; daughter, Alyssa Moore; three sisters, LeeAnn Montz, Connie Nordstrom, and Lisa Ryan; and step-mother, Marlys Moore.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Randy's memorial fund.
