Robert Probasco Obituary
Des Moines - Robert "Bob" J. Probasco was born August 19, 1951 to John E. and Helen Probasco in Kansas City, Kansas. He died October 17, 2020 of Covid 19 at the age of 69.
Bob grew up in Chariton and Des Moines. He graduated from Des Moines Tech High School in 1969. Bob served in the United States Army from 1971 to 1974, serving a majority of that time in Germany. He married Connie Lock on September 12, 1975. Bob had lived most of his life in the Des Moines area.
He is survived by his wife, Connie; sons, Joe (Melanie) from Chariton and Daniel (Veronica) from Anamosa; daughter, Beth (Mike) Pirillo from Des Moines; brother, Bill Probasco; sister, Linda Probasco; 17 grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, John.
The family will greet friends from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, October 22, 2020 at Hamilton's Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 23rd at Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church, 314 E. Army Post Road. Robert will be laid to rest with military honors at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Avon Cemetery.
