Ronald "Ron" Calder, 75, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2015.

Ron was born November 26, 1939. He was a caring husband, father, brother, son and friend. He served in the U.S. Army and worked for the Federal Aviation Administration.

Ron is survived by his wife of 37 years, Jeanne M. Calder; numerous children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Morris "Red" and Ruth Calder and his brother, "Babe" Calder.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, May 18, 2015 at Hamilton's Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at Hamilton's Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street followed by burial at Resthaven Cemetery in West Des Moines.
