Shawn's journey through life has ended and he earned his wings on Wednesday, September 27, 2017. Shawn was born to Stan and Rosemary (Chumbley) Wheeler on April 11, 1973.
Shawn attended and graduated from S.E. Polk High School in 1991. He worked at the Southside Hy-Vee in the meat department for many years.
Shawn was preceded in death by his father, Stan Wheeler; his grandparents, Chuck and Franny Wheeler, Lester and Ruthann Chumbley; and his cousin, Erin Voll. He is survived by his mother Rosemary (Chumbley) Voll; stepdad, Alvin Voll; brothers, Scott (CJ) Wheeler of Colfax, Tony Voll and Andy (Rachelle) Voll both of Des Moines; nieces, Samantha Wheeler and Rori Wheeler; nephews, Chase Sholley, Connor, Carson, Damon, and Jace; as well as other loving family and countless friends. Shawn will be missed and never forgotten by the entire family.
Visitation will be held from 12-2 p.m. with a service to follow at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 4, 2017, at Hamilton's near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Shawn.
