Mrs. Donahoe, as she was always known to me, was a lady who I greatly respected and admired. My parents Ted and Ellabelle Joplin considered her to be their friend and the Donahoe children were among my favorite playmates when we all lived on Terrace Road in Des Moines. I don't exactly remember when the Donahoe's moved about 2 blocks up the hill from where we lived, but we still continued our friendship. I was especially fond of Ruth and Denice and was very sad when Denice passed on. Both girls were true ladies and I greatly respected them. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Love, Theo

Aunt Sue was never a Susan in my memory. What I will always remember is her sing song British voice accompanied with a sense of humor that was as genuine as her beautiful character. She wore a smile with ease as she talked however she had an occasional stern look but then generally followed up with her final two cents on the subject. One always knew where she stood......she was never wish-washy. She possessed grace and style in her wardrobe and her hair was as regal as the Queens. We terribly regret being able to be with my wonderful Des Moines family. Jean Ann and I are there in spirt nevertheless. God Bless Sue Donahoe....May she rest in eternal peace.
