SUZANNE KAY DECAMP
Adel
Suzanne DeCamp went into the loving arms of her heavenly father February 27, 2010.
Although her time on this earth was short, she filled it with family, friends and many activities.
Suzanne graduated from Adel – DeSoto High School in 1973 and was proud to call Adel her home for nearly all of her life. Following high school she attended Hawkeye Technical College and earned a degree in Interior Design in 1975. Suzanne spent her life in service to God and Country through her lifelong involvement in the Adel First Christian Church and the American Legion Auxiliary. She served her church in many capacities from Sunday school teacher to board member. Her involvement in the Auxiliary included positions on the local, district and state levels. Suzanne was also active in the Republican Party and enjoyed organizing and attending political events. She worked for the ADM School District for 23 years and loved being around kids everyday.
Suzanne leaves behind family to honor her memory: her sister, Pat Fulton; and her brothers, Bill and Jim (Vickie) DeCamp. Suzanne loved to spend time with her nieces and nephews and spoil them just a little: Angela, Tom and Bob Dell'Orfano, Heather Wachendorf, Adam, Aaron, Andrew and Nicholas DeCamp, and many great nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Suzanne joins in heaven her parents, Paul and Frances DeCamp and her sister, Janice Zierer.
A memorial celebration of Suzanne's life will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 6, 2010 at the First Christian Church in Adel where the family will greet friends after the service.
Memorial tributes may be made to her church.
