Thelma Taylor Obituary
Des Moines - Thelma M. (Horn) Taylor, 91, died September 10, 2018 at home. She was born December 6, 1926 at Ladora, Iowa to Frank and Martha (Timm) Horn.
Survivors include her children: Joanne May and Alan Taylor; two grandchildren: Corey Taylor and Barbi May; six great-grandchildren; three sisters: Lillian Buzzard, Sandra (Jim) Skinner, and Susan Glick; and two brothers, Roland and Shirley Horn.
Thelma's funeral will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Des Moines, with her burial at Pleasantville Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m.

Although this post is many years belated, I felt compelled to add to this post. I had the distinct pleasure of meeting and Mrs. Taylor on 01/012000 add a slipknot show in Des Moines, Iowa. She was sweet as pie and we talked for a while backstage. I was able to take a picture of her, Corey and Barbie that day and I gave it to him the following week at another show in Davenport. I only posted a picture of her on this post out of respect for Corey and Barbie. It was a private moment. May she rest in peace and the kingdom of heaven.

Corey, so sad to see Grams has passed. I always loved her and visited each time I returned home. She was always so good to us growing up and extremely tolerant of our shenanigans. I was just thinking of her and thinking I should call to chat when I saw this. She will be greatly missed. Always here if you need an old friend to share memories. Love and prayers to y'all. Thelma is my 2nd cousin, once removed. I loved going to her house with my mom when I was younger and remember always sitting and talking with her at family reunions.
