The family will greet friends between the hours of 6 and 8 p.m. Sunday followed by a Vigil for the Deceased at 8 p.m. at St. Theresa's.
Tim was a native of Des Moines and the fourth of six children born March 1, 1957, to Trudy and Jack Craig. He attended grade school at St. Theresa's and was a graduate of Dowling Catholic High School. Tim was an accounting major and honors graduate of the University of Northern Iowa where he passed the CPA exam prior to graduation. Following graduation, Tim was employed by Stevenson & CO. and in the Tax Department of MidAmerica Energy. For the last 14 years he has been a CPA and partner in the West Des Moines CPA firm of Denman & Company. Tim is a member of the Iowa Society of CPAs and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
On January 3, 1981, Tim married the love of his life, Jacqueline (Jackie) S. Lunn. They are the proud parents of two children, Dan (Kristen) and Sara Craig. Tim was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. Also left to cherish his memory are his four brothers and a sister, Dave (Linda) of West Des Moines, John (Mary Lynn) of Oak Park, Illinois, Steve (Mary Beth) and Theresa (Pat) McGuire of Urbandale, and Mike of Des Moines; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Frank and Connie Lunn of Harcourt; sister-in-law, Jodie (Tim) Rogers of Cedar Falls; and brother-in-law, Jerry (Julie) Lunn of Fort Dodge. Tim is also survived by his many loving nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Tim was the consummate husband, father, friend and colleague. He took great pride in serving his clients who knew they could rely on him for trusted advice and services all rendered in a highly professional and timely manner. He will be greatly missed by his fellow partners and associates at Denman & Company who much appreciated his commitment to the firm and its mission.
For a number of years, Tim has served on the Board and as Treasurer of Central Iowa Shelter & Services. He was a strong proponent of the services the Shelter rendered for its clientele, for whom he felt great empathy. His quiet behind the scenes financial expertise and guidance will be sorely missed.
Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Theresa Catholic Church Foundation, the Dowling Catholic High School Foundation or Central Iowa Shelter & Services.
