Dr.Rider was one of my favorite professors at Grand View back in 1982-84 when it was still Grand View College instead of University. He was a super-nice man who always had time for students. He helped make sure my transition to Drake University was a smooth one as Grand View did not have a 4-year Teacher Education program at the time but allowed students to cross-enroll at Drake. Thank you for your help Dr. Rider and God bless you. Rest in peace.

I'm proud of who I am today hugely in part of this man. I will always hold him with admiration in my heart. He was such a good man.-Scott Kopecky, class of 1988

I am so sad to read of Dr. Rider's passing. I was a student of his at Grandview in the mid 80's. I always admired him.
